Surya is the Chief Scientific Officer of Sionic. Dr. Moganty is an expert in advanced battery materials, ionic liquid electrolytes, electroanalytical & organic synthetic chemistry, and process engineering – and is responsible for the continued success of the Company’s research and development efforts on the silicon battery. Prior to joining Sionic, he was a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2009 from Clarkson University and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, where he co-invented technology that was licensed by Sionic. Dr. Moganty authored 21+ peer reviewed articles in various scientific journals and 40+ patents/applications. He also served as a principle investigator on numerous federal and state funding programs.
